"When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face
And I

Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
And I

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you.
"

- Fix You, Coldplay

This is for Project HeART, introduced to me by ~wolvenillusion. She is not in charge of it, just spreading the word. If you'd like to participate, here is information pasted from her journal about it:

"Project HeART is asking artists from tattooists to painters to pick up a 4”x6” index card and give heART! Design a realistic heart, paint a sacred heart, sketch a traditional heart- whatever your style may be, we want to combine your amazing talent with that of other great artists to help the victims of Katrina that have lost everything. We'll be gathering all works of art into one large piece for a charity auction on eBay, with all profits going to Habitat for Humanity. Don't have an index card? Or prefer working on another material? Any 4”x6” paper will do! Your contribution is more appreciated than you will know! Participants are asked to include their name, website, company, or other information that they would like attached to their work. Also send your email address to be made aware of the upcoming auction!

Spread the word and send your submissions by September 16, 2005 to:

Anyway, this picture is to "Fix You" by Coldplay [obvious by above lyrics]. I got introduced to it from that DeviantART 2005 birthday flash. I had it on repeat while drawing this, it was just too inspirational to pass up.

So here's Lumiere, healing a broken heart. The colours I stole from *Gatobob-Spotty, because I had never drawn Lumiere in her "light" colours before. Her colours change, and all I had is her dark colours. Lumiere is the Angel of Light 'n stuff. I decided to give her more colours though, since I wanted the light colours to be shades of yellow and white, so I decided to use Gato's liberties on my char's colours as a kind of peace/healing colour scheme. You can find her pic of Lumiere here: [link]

At first I thought about drawing Kip, but realised Lumiere was more proper. For those uninformed = Lumiere is Kip after her death. XP They're kinna the same person... kinna not! XD It's hard to explain.

I actually wanted to draw the little shining-old-skool halos [the ones that you all probably mistake for oranges on my pictures] that are all... round and stuff and kind of like a mane, go around the entire head... but see Lumiere actually has her own halo rendition XDD so I save them round halos for Kip and black swirly halos... usually... XD And round halo things for.. um.. other chars too XDD

Anyways. This is my first thing for Hurricane Katrina... I have another picture in the making, but this will do for now. I really encourage you to please draw something for this project, or just draw something for Hurricane Katrina at all, but you don't have to. That's your decision.
