Vaela, my new character. She's a Sky Kipsian. ^_^

If you don't know about Sky Kipsians and Kipsians and whatnot, here's a description I copied and pasted that I told ~hiphopfarendo about it:



<sub>"There are two main split types of Kipsians. There are the "Normals" and then the "Abnormal" ones.

Normals: Kipsians that live in society. Have normal Kipsian powers (moving things with the mind, communicating with the mind, morphing into different species), no special ones or mutations.

Abnormals: Kipsians shunned from society because they have developed abnormal powers and mutations or they have decided to shun themselves away from society. Most, however, are dangerous, reckless, ruthless, and would terrorize and destroy society. Some are even myths.

Now another abnormal Kipsian are the Sky Kipsians. They live up in the sky in the clouds where they have build amazing cities, however they have the ability to hide them so they are generally considered a myth, a legend, to Kipsian society and culture. They are logically "mutations", because they have healing abilities and magic and whatnot, however, they could possibly live in peace with the normal Kipsians, but refuse to. Over a million years ago when Kipsians were tyrants and ruthless, they captured Sky Kipsians to kill them for their fur and use them for their magical powers. After the tyrant Kipsians nearly blew themselves up and became extinct, Sky Kipsians decided they would forever shun themselves away from Kipsian society and still believe Kipsians (who are peaceful) today are tyrants out to kill them and use them. It's so vital that it's written in their religion, which, by the way, Sky Kipsians are incredibly religious and traditional. They still write, and speak, in Ancient Kipsian. They hate Kipsians so much that it is forbidden for a Sky Kipsian to even communicate with a Normal Kipsian or even tread on their land. It's considered an abominal *sp?* sin.


And like I said to Zen above, though Kip is a "flying" Kipsian, she's logically a hybrid. Her father was a Sky Kipsian. Kip actually has some powers of her own other Kipsians do not share, but she has to hide them from Kipsian society or else she may be made fun of or shunned or put into capture for testing and use. She has the basic Kipsian powers but has Sky Kipsian powers such as healing and the ability to capture magical energy. However though since she's only half Sky Kipsian her powers are very weak in comparison to a normal Sky Kipsian.</sub>" ....

Alright, let me explain some more...

Sky Kipsians, are always named for a word or a person in the religion of their Bible, or a thing, such as a planet or city. Then the symbol for their name (or a design pertaining to it) is then "engraved" onto their hind legs and forehead using a blue stone, which is heated, and designed onto the hind legs and forehead which then solidifies and cools. This is done at birth.

All Sky Kipsians are born with two angelic wings on their forehead, two ears, four legs, and two angelic wings on their back. Any Kipsian that is not born with these attributes, or has any other kind of deformity, is shunned by society, and is forced to live a life in solitude in a type of prison, where they are took care of by a manager of some sorts, which only feeds them and checks their health. (Think of The Man In The Iron Mask)

Instead of the stone being put in their hind legs and forehead, it is instead outlined, and then the final symbol is burned in the parts between the outline. Usually it is a cross with an arrow on the end, but it can be several other things.

This however, is for the ones born in royal family, which means ones born into a family where the father (or mother) has high position such as being a priest or more importantly, a king. The ones who are unfortunate enough to be born in a family of not high position, will not even have a symbol burned into their legs, and usually will either be a) killed, or b) sentenced a life of solitude with scarce food and poor conditions, where they will eventually die.

Luckily, Vaela Kiff was one of the luckier ones. She is Quuere's sister, which makes her Kip's aunt I believe. Quuere's father is/was the King of the Sky Kipsians, which means she has royal blood in her.

Vaela was sentenced to a life of solitude. Like the Man in The Iron Mask, she was a burden, a dishonor, a defect, to the Kiff name.

Vaela is a Sky Kipsian word meaning, simply, "Curse", which brings about this title.

EDIT: I FORGOT to say thanks to I thought I did but I just re-read over this and noticed I FORGOT. Her character, Nevermore, has a tie on her tail. I thought that was awesome so I put it on Vaela's ears there. I AM SO SORRY. >_<
